The SEO/GEO layer of the site, and the page that proves it
The layer under every page of the site: the schema.org JSON-LD that fits the type of the page, the llms.txt with the key pages and the datasets, the sitemap split by the type, the canonical URL, the lastmod date and the IndexNow key file. Every number below is read from the data of the repository.

HowTo, FAQPage, Dataset, ItemList and SoftwareApplication, chosen by the type of the page: platform, format, language, profession, alternative, versus, free tools.

The key pages of every type and the datasets with the source and the date they were read.
The sitemap by the type of the page
One sitemap file per type and an index over them, with the lastmod of every page.
Canonical, lastmod and the IndexNow key
The canonical URL of every page, the date of the last change and the IndexNow key file. The key is written, never sent.

The layer of this page, read in the browser
One line on any page of the factory: "seo": true in the data file of the page. The build then loads assets/seo/seo-widget.js on that page and copies the files of the widget into the output.
The widget below ran in your browser and wrote down what it found and what it added. It reads the page and one plan file of the site, assets/seo/seo-widget.json: no third-party script, no CDN and nothing leaves the browser.

llms.txt, the sitemaps and the IndexNow key
The layer writes its own machine-readable files next to the pages of the site. The llms.txt of the layer lists the key pages and the datasets; the sitemaps are split by the type of the page.

Questions this page answers
What does the widget add to a page?
The canonical URL when the page has none, the lastmod date in the meta tags, and the JSON-LD nodes the page does not carry yet. It reads the page only: no network request and no third-party script.
How is a page of the factory connected to it?
One line in the data file of the page, "seo": true. The factory then loads assets/seo/seo-widget.js on that page and copies the files of the widget into the build.
Does the widget send anything to a search engine?
No. The generator writes the IndexNow key file and the request payload to disk and sends nothing. A person sends the payload, if they want to.
