When to pick us

  • Your audio is in Russian or English. The engine is built for Russian speech and for the Russian-English mix.
  • You need SRT and VTT as the normal output, not as an extra export.
  • You want DOCX too, so the minutes can be handed over as a document.
  • You want to try before you register. The free plan needs no card.
  • You want to plug transcription into your own pipeline: there is a REST API and an MCP server.

Where we are behind

  • We do not transcribe Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or any other Indian language.
  • We do not price in rupees. Every price on the site is in dollars.
  • There is no bot that joins your meeting and no desktop app that captures the screen.
  • Speaker labels come only when you ask for them.
  • No data centre in India, no rupee invoices, no support in Indian languages.

Which is the cheapest audio to text service in India?

On price per minute, Sarvam.ai at ₹0.49 a minute and Edesy at ₹6 a minute are the cheapest self-serve options we could read. Hearlog gives 300 minutes a month free and Scrib gives 60 minutes a month free. Transcrib Si is not one of them: our Pro is $10 a month, and it works on Russian and English only.

Do I need a card for the free plan?

No. The Transcrib Si free plan gives 3 files a day, up to 30 minutes per file, with no card. Bhashini.ai also offers 250 free credits for 30 days without a bank card.

Can it transcribe Hindi?

No. Our engine handles Russian and English. For Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and the other Indian languages use Sarvam.ai, Hearlog, Bhashini.ai or Edesy, all of which are listed in the table above with their prices.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. Drop a file on the widget at the bottom of this page and the transcript appears on the page, with the timecodes. The free plan does the same without a card.

How do I pay?

Pro is $10 a month paid yearly ($120 a year) or $20 a month, paid by card through Stripe. The API is billed by volume with no subscription. Team is priced on request.
