Transcribe Galician audio to text

Transcribe Galician audio to text: the market lists Portuguese and Spanish and no Galician. Our two engines, the limits, the prices, 21 October 2026.

In short

Galician is not on our engine list: we run 99+ languages and measure nothing else. The rest of the service is the same for every language — 30 minutes per file, no minute limit, 3 files a day for $0, and a transcript with timecodes and speaker labels.

The case

The confusion the market encourages

Galician audio is often mistaken for Portuguese or Spanish, and the market makes that confusion easier: the interface lists of the big services carry Portuguese and Spanish, and no Galician. Of the 18 services we read on 21 October 2026, none ships a Galician interface. Our engine covers 99+ languages, so we will not pretend otherwise either.

How it works

Three steps and a minute of reading

  1. 1

    Upload and let it run

Audio or video, up to 30 minutes. Automatic detection took 0.39 s on a short file in our own measurement, and the queue does the rest.

  2. 2

    Read the first segment

Every line carries its start and end time, and speakers can be named separately on request. A minute of reading tells you what the profile did with the audio.

  3. 3

    Export and repair

TXT, Markdown, SRT, VTT, CSV or DOCX; DOCX needs Pro at $10 a month paid yearly. Names and place names are fixed in the app.

Tips

  • Galician close to Portuguese is where a wrong profile shows fastest.

  • One minute of audio is enough to judge the result.

  • Send the file to the Telegram bot when a transcript in the chat is easier to share.

Questions about Galician transcription

Do you support Galician?

No. The engine contract covers 99+ languages and the mix between them. We publish no Galician quality figure, and we would not read a percentage without a test set behind it.

Which services cover Galician or its neighbours?

Transcribe.com publishes 120+ languages and interfaces in Portuguese and Spanish, without a Galician locale; Sonix claims 54+ languages. Read on their pages, 21 October 2026.

Is the file limit different for other languages?

No. One file is up to 30 minutes on the free plan, and the free plan still takes 3 files a day of up to 30 minutes each.

Do you translate the transcript?

No translation today. The text stays in the language that was spoken, and the service does not swap one language for another behind your back.
