Transcribe a Discord call to text
Transcribe a Discord call to text: upload the recording and get a timecode on every line, speakers told apart on request and six export formats.
A Discord call leaves a recording file; upload it here and the words come back with the time each line starts, the speakers split on request and six export formats. A file holds up to 30 minutes, and the free plan is $0 with 3 files a day.
How to get the text of a Discord call
- 1
Find the saved recording
Somebody in the call saved it. Ask who, or look for the file that arrived in your downloads. Without such a file there is no audio to read, and this service does not connect to Discord to fetch one.
- 2
Send the file to the page
Drop it on the widget above. A file may be up to 30 minutes at most. Leave the language on automatic detection, and turn the speaker split on: a Discord call often has more than two voices.
- 3
Read the call back
Every line has the time it starts and ends, so the moment with the decision is one search away. The speakers are named, and the text goes out as TXT, Markdown, SRT, VTT, CSV or DOCX.
What you get
- TXT
Plain text for an email, a note or a chat
- SRT
Subtitles for video editors and platforms
- VTT
Subtitles for a browser and a website
- CSV
A table: time, speaker, text
- DOCX
A Word document with speakers and times
- Markdown
Text with headings for notes

The summary in the chat is not the call
The words of a Discord call live in two places, and neither one is a transcript. One is the recording that somebody saved during the call. The other is the short summary that people paste into the chat afterwards, and a summary drops the wording, the order and the pauses. Take the recording, and the sentences come back with the moment each of them was said.
Tips
Ask in the channel who saved the recording.
Split the voices before the file leaves your computer.
Keep the file name in call order.
Export CSV when the quotes have to be counted.
Questions this page answers
Can this service join the Discord call?
No. Nothing of ours enters the server or the channel. You take the file that was saved and upload it yourself, so the server, the channels and the messages of the call stay where they are.
How many speakers can the transcript hold?
As many as the recording has, one line per voice. Switch on the split by speaker before the upload, and the people are told apart instead of running together into one column.
What if the recording was cut into parts?
Upload the parts one by one, in order. Each part is a file of its own with its own timecodes, and the names of the files keep the sequence visible in your folder.
Can I search the call afterwards?
Yes. The transcript is text, one line per segment, and the editor in the app lets you search it. The CSV export adds the time and the speaker, so the quotes go into a sheet with their positions.
Drop a recording — the text arrives in a minute
