Transcribe a therapy session
Transcribe a therapy session: timecodes on every line, speakers named on request, a record you can delete when the note is enough. Free $0, 3 files a day.
Upload the recording of the session and the transcript comes back with the time of every line and the voices named on request, so the note can be written and the recording deleted. One file is up to 30 minutes; free is $0 with 3 files a day.
Why the note has to stay yours
A session is a conversation that has to stay between two people, and the notes of it are the most private document in a practice. A transcript helps only if it does not become a new copy of the recording on someone else's disk. So the question is not only what the transcript says, but where the file went and how it is deleted.

How to transcribe a session
- 1
Decide what the recording is for
The service cannot tell you whether a session has to be recorded at all. That is the decision of the practice; the tool only turns a file you have into text.
- 2
Upload the file and split the two voices
Upload the recording through the widget above, leave the language on automatic detection or set it, and switch on the split by speaker, so the two voices of the session are named apart.
- 3
Read the note and fix a word
The transcript is text with a timecode on every line. A wrong word can be corrected in the editor of the app and saved to your account.
- 4
Delete what should not be kept
Deleting the transcript in the app removes the file and the text, so the session does not have to live longer than the note you keep.
Tips
Decide before you record, not after the session.
Check the names of the people in the session in the first minute.
Keep the file name short; it may outlive the session.
Export TXT for the note, and delete the recording when it is not needed.
Questions this page answers
Where is the audio of a session processed?
Athe recording language is detected automatically. A pure English file may be sent to a third-party cloud speech provider in the United States, when that fallback is enabled on the server.
Is the recording used to train anything?
No. The audio and the transcript are never used to train models for other customers and never sold. The privacy page spells out what leaves the server and what does not.
Can the transcript be deleted afterwards?
Yes. Deleting the transcript in the app removes the file and the text. On the Free plan the transcript is kept for 7 days. An export you have already downloaded is yours to keep or to delete.
Can the client and the therapist be told apart?
Yes, with the split by speaker the voices are named separately on request. Without it no speaker is named at all, so a note cannot say which of the two said what.
Drop a recording — the text arrives in a minute
Speakers by name, a time on every line, export to TXT, SRT, VTT, CSV and Markdown.
