Can you transcribe Azerbaijani audio?
No. Our engine takes 99+ languages, and the service contract says exactly that. Azerbaijani belongs to one of the services named above.
Transcribe Azerbaijani audio to text: our engine runs 99+ languages. Sonix, Descript, TurboScribe, HappyScribe and Notta on Azerbaijani, with prices and the dates we read them.
Azerbaijani is not one of our 99+ languages: we run 99+ languages only. Sonix lists 54 transcription languages and Azerbaijani is not among them; Descript keeps it in 61 caption-translation languages, not in its 25 transcription ones. TurboScribe, HappyScribe and Notta publish an Azerbaijani page.
Azerbaijani is the case where the number of languages a service advertises says almost nothing, because hardly any of them publish Azerbaijani in the list itself. Three of them publish a URL with the language in it. We read those pages on 22 October 2026, and this page says what each one claims, in the order a buyer meets them: the list, the error rate, the price.
| What | Value |
|---|---|
| Our engine | 99+ languages; one file of up to 30 minutes on the free plan, no minute limit on Pro |
| Sonix | 54 transcription languages, Azerbaijani is not on the list |
| Descript | 25 transcription languages without it, 61 caption-translation languages with it |
| TurboScribe | 98+ transcription languages, and an Azerbaijani page in its sitemap |
| HappyScribe | 150+ languages and dialects, and a transcribe-azerbaijani page in its sitemap |
| Notta | an azerbaijani-speech-to-text page in its sitemap |
Sonix publishes 54 transcription languages in its llms.txt, read on 21 October 2026. Azerbaijani is not among them. A headline about 54 languages is a different claim from a list you can read.
Descript transcribes 25 languages and translates captions into 61, Azerbaijani among the second number. A caption file in Azerbaijani is not an Azerbaijani transcript, and the two are not priced alike.
TurboScribe, HappyScribe and Notta publish a URL for Azerbaijani audio in their sitemaps. A URL is a promise of coverage, not an error rate, and it says nothing about your recording.
Our part of the job is 99+ languages: 30 minutes per file on the free plan, no minute limit, 3 files a day free, timecodes on every line and the speakers named on request.
Sonix bills $10 an hour, TurboScribe $10 a month paid yearly, Notta $8.17 a month paid yearly, HappyScribe $8.50 a month paid yearly. A minute on two services costs less than a month.
A sitemap URL is coverage, not accuracy.
Read the language list, not the headline.
One test minute beats one pricing page.
Split a mixed recording into two files.
No. Our engine takes 99+ languages, and the service contract says exactly that. Azerbaijani belongs to one of the services named above.
TurboScribe, HappyScribe and Notta publish an Azerbaijani page in their sitemaps. Sonix does not list it among its 54, and Descript offers it only as a caption translation.
Sonix counts hours at $10. HappyScribe sells minutes: Basic is $8.50 a month paid yearly for 30 minutes. TurboScribe and Notta sell months. Read the unit before the price.
Split it into two files. We take the 99+ languages half at up to 30 minutes on the free plan; the Azerbaijani half goes to a service that names the language.
It is evidence that the service treats the language as a product. It is not an accuracy claim. Send the same 60 seconds to two services and compare the words.
Speakers by name, a time on every line, export to TXT, SRT, VTT, CSV and Markdown.
