Tactiq alternative

Tactiq records meetings through a Chrome extension for Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, and the Pro plan costs $8 per user a month billed yearly, while the free tier allows 10 transcripts a month. Transcrib Si is a file service: $10 a month, 1,500 minutes of audio, no extension and no bot in the call.

Two ways to end up with a meeting transcript

Tactiq lives in your browser during the meeting. A Chrome extension joins Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and the transcript appears while the call is still running, with labels, tags, screenshots and a summary built on the spot. Its free plan allows 10 transcripts a month and hands out 5 AI credits for the rest of the work.

Transcrib Si has no extension and no presence in the meeting. You bring a file that already exists — a phone recording, a recorder left on the table, a file somebody sent you — and the service returns the text, the timecodes and the speaker names. It suits the case where the meeting is over, the recording is on a drive, and nobody wants to install anything.

The free tiers, measured against each other

A free tier is a habit, not a plan. Tactiq gives you a fixed number of transcripts a month and a small pool of AI credits for the summaries; our free tier gives you a fixed number of files a day and a cap on how long each one may be. Both count something, and both stop somewhere.

Length of one piece not published as a minute limit on the pricing page (tactiq.io/en/pricing, checked ) up to 30 minutes per file, and 64 MB in size (pricing, checked )
Second resource 5 AI credits a month for summaries and insights (tactiq.io/en/pricing, checked ) none: the file count and the minute cap are the two limits (pricing, checked )

Where Tactiq suits you better

  • The meeting is on Google Meet, Zoom or Teams and you want notes immediately. The extension attaches itself to the call and the transcript is there when the call ends.
  • You want the follow-up work done for you. Tactiq counts AI credits for summaries, insights and one-click actions, and it connects to Slack, Linear and HubSpot.
  • You are buying for many people and want a seat price. Team starts at $16.67 a user a month and Business at $29.17, with SAML SSO, advanced data retention and a customer success manager.
  • You want a school discount. Tactiq runs a separate education plan for teachers and students.
  • You want to be in the AI tools already. Tactiq publishes an MCP server and a Claude connector, both marked as beta.

Where our service suits you better

  • The recording already exists and the meeting is long gone. A phone recording from a walk, a lecture from last year, an interview from a colleague — we read the file you have.
  • Installing an extension in the call is not acceptable. No bot, no extension, no permission to join anything. The security notes say what happens to the file.
  • Russian matters. Our engine is tuned for Russian speech and for the Russian-English mix; the free plan and the paid plan behave the same way there.
  • You want the machine-readable version. A REST API, an MCP server with 4 tools, plugins for Claude and ChatGPT, and exports to TXT, Markdown, SRT, VTT, CSV and DOCX.
  • You want one price for one person. $10 a month covers 1,500 minutes of audio whatever the file is, instead of a seat multiplied by the headcount.

How to decide in one minute

  • Choose Tactiq when the meeting is the moment you care about, when you want the summary without doing anything, and when the price per seat is acceptable for your team size.
  • Choose Transcrib Si when the audio is a file in your hands, when the language is Russian or mixed, and when a flat monthly price suits you better than a seat price.
  • Try both free first. Tactiq gives 10 transcripts a month, ours gives 3 files a day, and each of them answers the question faster than a feature table does.
Our own numbers are on the same table. The free plan gives 3 files a day and the Pro plan gives 1,500 minutes a month, and both are read from our pricing page on the same day we read theirs.

FAQ

Questions this page answers.

How much does Tactiq cost per month?

The pricing page shows Pro at $8 per user a month with annual billing, Team at $16.67 and Business at $29.17. The monthly prices behind the monthly switch were not readable when we checked on 25 October 2026, so we did not write them down.

Does Tactiq work outside the meeting itself?

It can upload meeting files and it keeps a global meeting search over the transcripts it has collected. The main way it works is still live: a Chrome extension for Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

What does the free plan give in each service?

Tactiq gives 5 AI credits a month and 10 transcripts a month. Transcrib Si gives 3 files a day, each up to 30 minutes long, and keeps the transcript for 7 days. Both plans need no card.

Can Tactiq handle Russian?

Its own pricing page we read does not publish a language list, so we do not claim anything about the count. Our own number is 2, Russian and English, and the Russian guide explains what that means for a mixed recording.

Which one gives more minutes for the money?

Our Pro plan gives 1,500 minutes of audio a month for $10, or 150 minutes for each dollar. Tactiq measures its plans in seats and AI credits instead of minutes, so the two numbers cannot be divided by one another without a workload in mind.
