Trint alternative

Trint sells a production workspace for media teams, and the public pages we opened on 25 October 2026 carried no price. Transcrib Si is a subscription: $10 a month gives 1,500 minutes of audio, with speaker labels on every plan and six export formats.

What Trint is built for

Trint describes itself as a connected media production workflow for large-scale teams. Its own words on the home page: live transcription and verification in 50+ languages, translation into 70+ languages, and metadata such as Automatic Speaker Recognition and time codes gathered as the recording goes on. There is a live mode that works on a desktop or a phone, a Story Builder that turns verified quotes into draft articles or rough cuts, and an MCP Connector with MAM integrations for teams that work inside other tools.

That is a broad product, and it is aimed at an organisation rather than at one person with one file. The comparison below sets it next to ours, where the unit of work is a single recording that comes back as text you can read, export and feed to your own software. Every figure on the Trint side was read from a public page on 25 October 2026, and every figure on our side comes from our own pricing page, the service contract or the privacy policy.

What we could not read, and what we did with it

A comparison page that hides a missing number is worse than one that names it. We went looking for the Trint price list on 25 October 2026 and found three answers. The public pricing address answers 404. The public plans address answers 404 as well. The address inside the application loads and returns a page, but the page holds no text at all and no price, which means the plan names and the sums are drawn by code that only runs for a signed-in account. We checked the listing on the Google Workspace marketplace too, and it carries no price either.

So the Trint column of the table above carries the words the source does not report rather than a guess. If a Trint plan name or a sum reaches you from another page, we would rather you took it from Trint than from us, and we would rather rewrite this line than publish a number we did not see. The Google Workspace marketplace address for Trint leads to the marketplace home page, where no price for Trint is shown either. Everything else in that column, the languages, the speaker recognition, the certifications and the workflow, we read from the Trint home page on the same day, and each row carries that address and the date.

What we could not read. The Trint price list is not published on the pages we could open on 25 October 2026: two addresses answer 404 and the one inside the application renders empty. We wrote no price for Trint, and every figure on our side of the table comes from our own pricing page.

Where Trint suits the job better

  • You run a media team with a live show. Trint captures from a camera into the workspace while the recording happens, on a desktop or a phone, and verifies the result as it comes in.
  • You need many languages and translation. The home page names 50+ languages for transcription and 70+ for translation, which is far wider than the two we support.
  • The transcript is the start of an article. The Story Builder takes verified quotes into draft articles and rough cuts, and the AI surfaces key moments as they happen.
  • Your records live in the EU or the US. Trint gives you the choice of where the data is stored and writes about ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials on its own page.
  • Your tools are media systems. The MCP Connector and the MAM integrations plug the workspace into the archive or the editing system you already run.

Where our service suits the job better

  • You want a price you can read. The free tier is $0, Pro is $10 a month paid yearly or $20 a month paid monthly, and the allowance is 1,500 minutes of audio a month.
  • The recording is in Russian. We recognize Russian and English, and we build for a mix of the two.
  • You want the text, not the studio. One file in, a transcript with a time on every line and the speakers separated, out.
  • The file must reach your own code. REST API v1, an MCP server with 4 tools, and plugins for Claude and ChatGPT.
  • You want the file read on our own hardware. The servers sit outside the United States, and a file that is entirely in English may go to a named cloud provider only when that fallback is switched on.

How to choose between them

  • Take Trint if your work is live capture for a media organisation, if you need dozens of languages, or if the transcript is only the first step of an editorial pipeline.
  • Take Transcrib Si if you send files through a week, if the language is Russian, and if you want the transcript in a file your tools can read.
  • Ask Trint for a price if the table above is the deciding factor: their sales team can give you the number that their public pages did not give us.
  • Start free on either side if the decision is still open: we give 3 files a day of up to 30 minutes, with no card.

FAQ

Questions this page answers.

How much does Trint cost?

The source does not report a price on the pages we could open on 25 October 2026. The public pricing address answers 404, the public plans address answers 404 as well, and the address inside the application loads an empty page with no text on it. We wrote no sum for Trint, and the only price on this page is ours.

Does Trint have a free plan?

None that we could read. The home page offers a product tour and a talk with the sales team, and the plan pages we reached held no figures. Transcrib Si has a free tier at $0 with no card: 3 files a day, each up to 30 minutes and 64 MB.

Which languages does Trint transcribe?

The Trint home page names live transcription and verification in 50+ languages, and translation of a transcript into 70+ languages from any device. We recognize Russian and English, and the language is detected on its own when you do not set it in the uploader.

Does Trint tell the speakers apart?

Yes. Automatic Speaker Recognition is one of the metadata items the Trint workflow gathers, together with time codes. On our side the speakers are separated on every file of every plan, the free tier included, and each line carries its own start and end time.

Which one should a small team pick?

A team that sends a few files a week and wants a readable price will find more of the answer here: $10 a month for 1,500 minutes of audio, with six export formats and an API. A media organisation that captures live and drafts articles from the recording will find more of it in Trint.
