In short

The case

The sentence the claim will be judged on

A claim call is the moment when the story of the accident is told once and has to survive for years. What the client said about the other driver, what the agent asked about the damage, whether the recording was mentioned at all — the wording decides the case, and the wording is in the recording. A transcript keeps it in text, with the timecode of every line, so anybody who was not on the call can read the file of the claim.

How it works

How to transcribe a claim call

  1. 1

Get the recording of the call

The file the desk or the recording system produced is the one to upload. A call may be up to 30 minutes.

  2. 2

Upload it and separate the voices

Drop the file into the widget above, leave the language on automatic detection and switch on the split by speaker.

  3. 3

Find the moment of the description

Search the text for the place, the date or the word the client used, and read the lines around it with the timecode.

  4. 4

Put the text into the claim file

Export TXT for the body, CSV when the statements have to be listed one by one, DOCX on Pro for the document.

Tips

  • Ask the client to describe the moment in their own words.

  • Name the file after the number of the claim.

  • Keep the original recording, every timecode points at it.

  • Export CSV when the statements go into the table of the case.

Questions this page answers

Can the client and the agent be told apart?

Yes. With the split by speaker on, each voice gets a label of its own, so the account of the client is not mixed with the questions.

Does the service decide whether the claim is paid?

No. It transcribes the call. The decision is made by the policy and by the people who handle the claim.

How long may the recording be?

up to 30 minutes, the same on every plan. The free plan allows 3 files a day and 30 minutes per file.

What happens to the recording of the client?

It stays in your account until you delete it. On the free plan the transcript is kept for 7 days, and the audio is never sold.
