Temi vs Rev: two ways to pay
Temi and Rev are two ways to buy the same transcript: Rev's subscription, its one-off price per minute, the free minutes, the languages and the human option.
Rev's Essentials costs $25.49 a seat a month and its free plan gives 45 AI minutes; one-off AI transcription from Rev is $0.25 a minute. We have not measured Temi's own prices, so that column says not measured. Transcribsi is $10 a month.

One company, two ways of buying
One company sits behind both names: Rev's own page presents Temi as powered by Rev. The simple path is a bill per minute; the fuller desk has seats, plans, captions and a person you can hire when the words have to be perfect.
How to buy the same engine
- 1
You buy a bill, not an engine
The output is the same, so the difference is in the contract. Rev asks for a seat and a plan and takes minutes off an allowance; the same company also sells AI transcription on its own, at $0.25 a minute.
- 2
Compare the free offers
Rev gives 45 AI minutes a month in English on the free plan. Our own free plan gives 3 files a day of up to 30 minutes. Temi's free offer is not measured here.
- 3
Decide whether you need the extras
Human transcription from $1.99 a minute, captions and subtitles belong to Rev. A transcript you will read once does not need any of it, and a per-minute price with no subscription is easier to stop.
Tips
A per-minute price is the easiest bill to stop when the work ends.
The same engine can still be sold in two very different contracts.
Check the rounding rule before you count the minutes yourself.
Questions this page answers
Are Temi and Rev really the same service?
Nearly: Rev's own page presents Temi as powered by Rev, so both names lead to the same company. We have measured Rev's plans and not Temi's own prices, so the Temi column says not measured.
Which is cheaper for a single hour of audio?
Rev sells one-off AI transcription at $0.25 a minute, so an hour of audio is bought without a subscription. Rev's free plan allows 45 minutes a month; the paid plans start at $25.49 a seat a month.
What does Rev add that Temi does not have?
Seats, human transcription from $1.99 a minute, captions, subtitles and an editing tool. Rev's Essentials is $25.49 a seat a month and Pro is $47.99 a seat a month.
Which languages does Rev cover?
English on the free plan, English and Spanish on Essentials, 37+ on Pro. Our own service recognises 99+ languages, and publishes only those two.
