In short

Serbian is not one of our 99+ languages: we run 99+ languages only. Sonix names Serbian in both of its lists, 54 transcription and 54 translation languages, and Descript offers it only as a caption translation. TurboScribe, HappyScribe and Notta publish a Serbian page.

The case

One language, two scripts, one shortlist

Serbian comes in Latin and Cyrillic, and the audio is the same either way. What changes is the search: a Serbian page written in Cyrillic is a different query from the same page in Latin, and a buyer who types the two gets two different sets of results. On the engine side the number to look at is simpler: is the language in the transcription list, or only in the translation one?

How it works

How to get a Serbian transcript

  1. 1

    Read both of the lists

Sonix names 54 transcription languages and 54 translation languages. Serbian is in both. A language in the first list has recognition behind it; a language only in the second is rewritten text.

  2. 2

    Watch the script you type

Latin and Cyrillic Serbian are the same request for the engine and two different queries for the search. Pick one spelling and stay with it.

  3. 3

Try a minute before an hour

Sonix charges $10 an hour and TurboScribe $10 a month paid yearly. The same 60 seconds through both services tells you more than either price page.

  4. 4

    Send the Russian part

We take the 99+ languages recording: 30 minutes per file on the free plan, no minute limit, 3 files a day free, exports in TXT, Markdown, SRT, VTT, CSV and DOCX.

  5. 5

    Keep the two halves apart

A Serbian passage inside a Russian meeting is two jobs. Our engine takes the Russian one, at up to 30 minutes, and does not touch the other.

Tips

  • A language in both lists has an engine behind it.

  • Latin and Cyrillic are the same request.

  • Try one minute before you buy an hour.

  • Keep the Serbian and the Russian in two files.

Questions this page answers

Can your engine take Serbian?

No. The engine accepts 99+ languages. A Serbian recording needs a service whose own list names Serbian, and Sonix names it.

Does the script change the result?

No. Serbian is Serbian in Latin and in Cyrillic, and the audio does not change. The service sees the same recording whichever way you type the request.

Which services name Serbian?

Sonix, in its list of 54 transcription languages, read on 21 October 2026. TurboScribe publishes a Serbian page and claims 98+ languages. Descript counts Serbian among 61 caption-translation languages.

How much is a Serbian transcript?

Sonix: $10 an hour, or Core at $25 a month. TurboScribe: $10 a month paid yearly, $120 a year, or $20 a month. HappyScribe Basic: $8.50 a month paid yearly for 30 minutes.

What do we give you instead?

The 99+ languages recording, 30 minutes per file on the free plan, no minute limit, with timecodes, speaker labels on request and 6 export formats including SRT and VTT.
