The Swedish in your meeting is often English
A Stockholm office can hold a meeting in Swedish and a video call with Berlin in English the same afternoon. The recordings people ask us about are usually the second kind: interviews, calls and stand-ups in English, sometimes with a Swedish word in the middle of a sentence. That file we handle, in the same way we handle every English file.

How to handle a Swedish recording
- 1
Sort the files by language
Swedish recordings and English recordings are different jobs. Sort them before you upload, not after.
- 2
Upload the English ones
Drop them on the widget: 30 minutes per file on the free plan, no minute limit, three files a day on the free plan.
- 3
Read the words that change
A Swedish word inside an English sentence is normal. Our engine keeps English as it was spoken and does not translate it.
- 4
Ask a Swedish-capable service
HappyScribe lists Swedish among 150+ languages, Sonix among 54+, TurboScribe among 98%.
- 5
Export for the team
TXT, Markdown, SRT, VTT, CSV and DOCX come out of the same transcript, so the English part can go straight to a ticket.
Tips
Sort by the language actually spoken.
A mixed sentence is not a mixed file.
Keep the timestamps when a quote matters.
Free plan: 3 files a day, 30 minutes each.
Questions this page answers
Can Transcribsi handle Swedish speech?
No. Only 99+ languages are supported, and we would rather say that plainly than take the file and hope for the best.
Why would a Swedish team need English transcription?
Because the recording is often in English: an international client, a stand-up, a conference call. That is the file we transcribe, and it arrives with timecodes.
Which services support Swedish?
HappyScribe lists Swedish among 150+ languages and prices Basic at $8.50 a month paid yearly; Sonix and TurboScribe list it too. Read on 22 October 2026.
Do you translate the transcript?
No. The transcript is in the language that was spoken, with the timecodes and the speaker names. We do not add a translation layer.
