Can the iPhone recording become subtitles?
Yes. SRT and VTT come out of the same file, with the time of every line, and that is the format a player of a video needs.
Voicemail to text: upload the voicemail and get the text of it with a timecode on every segment, the speakers on request, and TXT, SRT, VTT, CSV or DOCX out. Free $0, 3 files a day.
Here is the whole path: take the voicemail from iPhone, send the file to the widget on this page, and the text comes back one segment per line. The free plan is $0 and gives 3 files a day.
In the Phone app press Voicemail and open the message that is needed.
The share sheet of the message opens the audio of the voicemail, and it can be saved to the Files app.
The transcription of the phone is in beta, it covers English messages, and it depends on the quality of the recording.
The engine keeps the time of every segment, so a correction in the editor does not move anything else. Read the beginning and the names before the file goes out.
Drop the file on the widget above, or pick it from the device. Set the language, switch the speaker split on when more than one person talks, and send.
One segment per line, the way a person wrote it down. It is the format to paste into a ticket, a chat or a document.
The start and the end time of every segment, and the speakers named separately when you ask for it.
SRT and VTT with the time of every line, so the recording can carry its own subtitles.
The transcript is edited through the API and exported as Markdown for a wiki, or as DOCX for a review.

Two things are worth knowing before you start. First, the service takes a file and not the address of a page: the voicemail has to reach the disk first, and the steps above say how. Second, a transcript is only as good as the sound, and a headset microphone and the microphone of a room give two very different texts out of the same engine.
Give the file the name of the meeting, so it is findable a month later.
If the recording mixes ru and en, choose the language of the talk.
Give the speakers their names in the editor, one time, and export again.
Export SRT when the iPhone recording has to become a subtitled video.
Yes. SRT and VTT come out of the same file, with the time of every line, and that is the format a player of a video needs.
99+ languages are read, ru and en. Set the language in the widget or leave it on automatic detection, and the text comes back in that language.
No. The engine takes a file, not the address of a page. Take the voicemail off iPhone first, with the steps above, and send the file itself.
Usually the host or the organiser of the meeting. If the download button is not there for you, the recording is not yours to take and the host has to do it.
