Can I send the Telegram file from my phone?
Yes, the widget takes the file from the device it runs on. The steps above are written for a computer, but a downloaded file is a downloaded file.
Telegram voice message to text: upload the voice message from Telegram and get the text of it with a timecode on every segment, the speakers on request, and TXT, SRT, VTT, CSV or DOCX out. Free $0, 3 files a day.
Here is the whole path: take the voice message from Telegram from Telegram, send the file to the widget on this page, and the text comes back one segment per line. The free plan is $0 and gives 3 files a day.
Open the chat and play the voice message once, and Telegram downloads the file by itself.
The file is in the downloads folder of Telegram, and the path of that folder is set in the settings of the app.
The Save for Notifications setting keeps the media of the chats that you follow.
Our own measurement on a short file was 0.84 s. A long recording goes through a queue and is saved to your account, so the text is there when you come back for it.
The engine keeps the time of every segment, so a correction in the editor does not move anything else. Read the beginning and the names before the file goes out.
One segment per line, the way a person wrote it down. It is the format to paste into a ticket, a chat or a document.
The start and the end time of every segment, and the speakers named separately when you ask for it.
SRT and VTT with the time of every line, so the recording can carry its own subtitles.
The transcript is edited through the API and exported as Markdown for a wiki, or as DOCX for a review.
| What | What the platform says |
|---|---|
| Where the file is | A voice message in Telegram is downloaded on its own, because voice messages are small. |
| What the file is | The file of a voice message is an audio file in the downloads folder of Telegram. |
| What can go wrong | The Save for Notifications setting keeps the media of the chats that you follow. |
| Length of one file | up to 30 minutes on the free plan, no minute limit on Pro |
| Free plan | $0: 3 files a day, up to 30 minutes per file, no card |
| Pro plan | $10 a month when you pay yearly ($120 a year), or $20 a month |
Two things are worth knowing before you start. First, the service takes a file and not the address of a page: the voice message from Telegram has to reach the disk first, and the steps above say how. Second, a transcript is only as good as the sound, and a headset microphone and the microphone of a room give two very different texts out of the same engine.
Check the length before you send it: the free plan takes files of 30 minutes; Pro has no minute limit.
Rename the file before you send it: the name of the meeting travels with it.
Do not guess the language: a wrong setting shows up in the names.
Turn on the split by speaker when more than two people talk.

Yes, it is a document and not a sound file. Every segment keeps its time, so you can search a word and quote it with the minute it was said.
A muted recording, or a file taken before the platform had finished writing it, comes empty. Take it down again after a pause and check that the sound is in the file.
A link is not enough. The file has to be on your device, and only then the engine can read it. The steps above say how the file leaves Telegram.
Speakers by name, a time on every line, export to TXT, SRT, VTT, CSV and Markdown.
