How to transcribe a meeting
Record the meeting, upload the file, and read it back with a timestamp on every line and the speakers separated — that is the whole workflow, in a browser tab or through the REST API. One file is up to 64 MB and 120 minutes, the free plan gives 3 files a day, and Pro ($10 a month paid yearly) allows 1,500 minutes of audio per calendar month.
The checklist
Three stages, and nothing in the middle that you have to set up.
| When | Step | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Before | Agree who records and where the file lands | one file per meeting keeps the export and the timecodes simple |
| Before | Check the length: 64 MB and 120 minutes per file | a longer recording has to be split — see the guide on long recordings |
| During | Speak naturally; the engine handles the mix of Russian and English | no vocabulary to load, no terminology to declare |
| After | Upload the file and switch on speaker separation | the speakers are what make a transcript readable |
| After | Read the first lines in the widget, then fix names in the app | the editor writes back to the same transcript the API returns |
| After | Export SRT, DOCX or TXT | subtitles, a document to review, or plain text to paste |
Who spoke
Switch on “Split by speaker” and the people in the room are separated and labelled. The labels are placeholders — Speaker 1, Speaker 2 — that you can rename in the editor, so the transcript ends up with the names your team actually uses. The API takes the same switch in the diarize field of POST /v1/transcripts.
What the minutes are worth
The number that decides whether the meeting is worth transcribing is the allowance, not the price: Pro gives 1,500 minutes of audio per calendar month, and the table below is calculated from that number.
| Meeting length | Meetings a month | Share of the allowance (calculated) |
|---|---|---|
| 15 minutes | 100 | 100% |
| 30 minutes | 50 | 100% |
| 45 minutes | 33 | 99% |
| 60 minutes | 25 | 100% |
| 120 minutes | 12 | 96% |
After the meeting: what to export
| Format | What it is | Where it helps |
|---|---|---|
| TXT | plain text, one line per segment | paste into a document or a ticket |
| Markdown | the same text as headings and lists | notes, wikis, chat |
| SRT | subtitles with start and end timecodes | video subtitles |
| VTT | web subtitles with start and end timecodes | HTML5 video players |
| CSV | one row per segment, with time and speaker | spreadsheets and scripts |
| DOCX | a Word document with the transcript | reviews and hand-offs (Pro) |
summarize_transcript and extract_actions, and the API does the same over the same text.
Put a file on the page and read the first lines.
The widget below is the same one as on the home page: file → transcript with timecodes and speakers → export. The transcript is saved to your account.

Questions this page answers.
Does it record the call for me?
No. There is no bot in your meeting invite and nothing is recorded on your behalf: you bring the file. That is also why the free plan is a file limit and not a recording feature.
How many meetings can I transcribe on Pro?
Pro allows 1,500 minutes of audio per calendar month: 25 one-hour meetings, 33 meetings of 45 minutes, or 12 two-hour sessions (calculated). The counter resets on the first day of each month, and going over it returns a clear error — it does not switch your account off.
Can I tell who said what?
Yes, with speaker separation switched on. The transcript labels the speakers and you can rename the labels in the editor, so the text ends up with real names.
Can it give me the action items?
The web app gives you the text. Summaries and action lists come from the MCP server — summarize_transcript and extract_actions — or from your own code over the same REST API.
How long can a meeting recording be?
Up to 120 minutes and 64 MB per file. A longer meeting has to be split into parts; the long-recording guide shows how.
Can the transcript be shared with the team?
The transcript lives in your account. Export it to DOCX, SRT or TXT and share it the way you share everything else, or hand the API key to a colleague on the Team plan.
