Is there a free plan, and do I need a card?

Pricing and plans

Free is $0 with 3 files a day, up to 30 minutes per file and 64 MB per file. No card, no trial clock — the limit is per day rather than per month, and the next upload is refused until the next day.

Source: apps/web/pricing.html

How much does the Pro plan cost?

Pricing and plans

Pro is $10 a month when you pay yearly ($120 a year) or $20 a month when you pay monthly. Either way the allowance is the same: fair use of 1,500 minutes of transcribed audio per calendar month, with every export format, API keys and MCP access.

Source: apps/web/pricing.html

How much does the Team plan cost?

Pricing and plans

Team is priced on request, so there is no list price to publish. It carries everything in Pro plus shared workspaces, a shared glossary, SSO, user management, a committed volume written down and priority support.

Source: apps/web/pricing.html

What does the API cost?

Pricing and plans

API usage is metered and billed by volume, separately from any subscription, with no monthly fee. We do not publish a per-hour rate: write to us with your monthly volume and we will send the rate for it.

Source: apps/web/api.html

Do paid plans renew automatically?

Pricing and plans

Yes, they renew until you cancel. Yearly billing is charged once for the year and monthly billing every month. A payment that cannot be collected is retried, and then the account moves to the Free limits.

Source: apps/web/terms.html

Can I cancel at any time?

Pricing and plans

Yes — from the Billing section of the app or by writing to us. You keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and the cancellation is not a request for a refund of the time already used.

Source: apps/web/terms.html

Do you give refunds?

Pricing and plans

We do not offer refunds for periods already used, except where the law requires it. If we break a promise on our side, we will make it right — write from the address on the account.

Source: apps/web/terms.html

Can I get an invoice with my company details?

Pricing and plans

Yes. Write from the email address on the account and tell us the name and address to put on the invoice. We will send it from the same inbox you wrote to.

Source: apps/web/contact.html

Is there an unlimited plan?

Pricing and plans

No plan lifts the published limits — the numbers we publish are the numbers you get. You may not deliberately evade a limit, split one account across several to get more allowance, or re-encode a media library at scale on a consumer plan.

Source: apps/web/terms.html

How big can one file be?

Limits

64 MB per file, on every plan including Team. A file over the limit is rejected at upload with a clear error, before any transcription work is done.

Source: apps/api/app/config.py

How long can one recording be?

Limits

120 minutes (two hours) per file, on every plan. A longer recording has to be split into parts, and the guide for a long recording shows how to cut it and how to put the timecodes back together.

Source: apps/api/app/config.py

How many files can I send on the free plan?

Limits

Three files a day, each up to 30 minutes. The counter is per day rather than per month, and the next upload is refused until the next day — reaching the limit does not cancel or suspend the account.

Source: apps/api/app/config.py

Why was my file rejected?

Limits

Either it was over 64 MB or over 120 minutes, or — on the free plan — over 30 minutes. The error message says which one it was, and the widget shows the same message.

Source: apps/web/how-to-transcribe-long-recording.html

What is the Pro allowance?

Limits

Fair use of 1,500 minutes of transcribed audio per calendar month — 25 one-hour meetings, or 12 two-hour sessions. The counter resets on the first day of each month, and going over it returns a clear error without switching the account off.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-meeting-to-text.html

How do I split a long file?

Limits

Any audio or video editor that can cut and export will do: cut at a pause, export each part as mp3 or wav, and upload the parts one by one. Keep every part under 120 minutes and 64 MB.

Source: apps/web/how-to-transcribe-long-recording.html

What happens when I cross a limit?

Limits

The service answers with the same error shape on every endpoint: {"error": {"code": "limit_exceeded", "message": "..."}}, with HTTP 402 or 413. The message says which limit was crossed, and the account stays open.

Source: apps/web/api.html

How long can a file be on the free plan?

Limits

Up to 30 minutes per file on Free, and up to 120 minutes on the paid plans. A free upload of a longer recording is refused with a clear error that names the limit.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-voice-memos.html

Which languages do you support?

Languages

Two: Russian and English, including speech that switches between them inside one sentence. We would rather say that plainly than show a list of a hundred flags.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-russian-audio-to-text.html

Do you support Russian and English in the same file?

Languages

Yes. Our engine runs a model profile tuned for Russian speech and for the Russian-English mix, so a meeting that switches language inside a sentence is transcribed in the language it was spoken.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-russian-audio-to-text.html

How is the language decided?

Languages

You set it — ru or en — or leave it on automatic detection. The answer says which source was used: user, auto or fallback. The detection took 0.39 s on a short file in our measurement of 21 October 2026.

Source: apps/web/accuracy.html

Does the service translate the transcript?

Languages

No. The transcript is in the language that was spoken — translation is not part of the product today. The API, the MCP server and the plugins are language-neutral, but they transcribe rather than translate.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-russian-audio-to-text.html

Do you support languages other than Russian and English?

Languages

No. Two languages today. The pages that compare a language with the market are a comparison of the other services, not a promise from us — our own engine covers Russian and English and we do not count German in our language list.

Source: apps/web/content/data/language/transcribe-german-audio-to-text.json

Is there a Russian-language interface?

Languages

The interface is in English today. The service handles Russian audio, and the API, the MCP server and the plugins are language-neutral — they work the same way whatever the language of the recording.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-russian-audio-to-text.html

Can I dictate in Russian and get the text?

Languages

Yes — a dictation is just a small audio file, so it goes through the same pipeline and comes back with the same timecodes. There is a separate guide on transcribing voice memos.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-russian-audio-to-text.html

Does it work for a Russian-language meeting?

Languages

Yes. A Russian or mixed Russian-English file is processed on our own engine, which is tuned for Russian speech. Language detection took 0.39 s on a short file in our own measurement of 21 October 2026.

Which export formats do you get?

Formats and exports

Six: TXT, Markdown, SRT, VTT, CSV and DOCX. DOCX is a Pro feature — on the free plan the other five are there, with timestamps and speaker labels.

Source: apps/web/content/data/service.json

Which export format should I choose for subtitles?

Formats and exports

SRT for video subtitles, VTT for web players. Both carry the start and the end time of every segment, so the subtitles line up with the audio. The file is named after the recording.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-audio-to-text.html

When should I use the CSV export?

Formats and exports

CSV is one row per segment, with the time and the speaker, so it goes straight into a spreadsheet or into a script that reads the timings. The plain text export is the same transcript without the columns.

Source: apps/web/content/data/service.json

Can I get the transcript as a Word document?

Formats and exports

Yes. DOCX is one of the six exports and a Pro feature: a Word document with the transcript, for reviews and hand-offs. On the free plan the other five formats are available.

Source: apps/web/content/data/service.json

What is the difference between TXT and Markdown?

Formats and exports

TXT is plain text, one line per segment, for a document or a ticket. Markdown is the same text as headings and lists, for notes, wikis and chat.

Source: apps/web/content/data/service.json

Which file formats can I upload?

Formats and exports

Audio and video containers: mp3, wav, m4a, mp4, webm, ogg, flac, aac, wma and mov. One file at a time, up to 64 MB and 120 minutes.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-audio-to-text.html

Can I get the transcript in a chosen format from the API?

Formats and exports

Yes: GET /v1/transcripts/{id}/export?format=txt|md|srt|vtt|csv|docx returns the file with the right media type. An unknown format is rejected with invalid_request and the list of the supported ones.

Source: apps/web/api.html

Can I fix a word before exporting?

Formats and exports

Yes. Correct the text in the editor, press Save — the original audio is not changed — and then export. The API reads the same transcript back, line by line, with the timecodes intact.

Source: apps/web/index.html

What happens to my audio?

Privacy and security

It is used to produce the transcript and to run the service. We do not sell it and we do not train models on it for other customers. Delete a transcript in the app and the audio goes with it.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Is my file deleted after transcription?

Privacy and security

Not automatically: files and transcripts stay in your account until you delete them there, and on the Free plan transcripts are kept for 7 days. A deleted file leaves the live system immediately and the encrypted backups within 30 days.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Where is my file processed?

Privacy and security

A Russian or a mixed Russian-English file is processed on our own transcription infrastructure, which is outside the United States. A file that is entirely in English is passed to a third-party cloud speech provider in the United States when that fallback is enabled on the server.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Who else receives my data?

Privacy and security

Only the services that do the job: our own transcription infrastructure, the cloud fallback provider for clean English, Stripe for payments and invoices, and our hosting and email providers under written data-processing terms. Nobody else, and we do not sell your data.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Do you store my card details?

Privacy and security

No. Stripe handles card numbers, CVVs and bank details; we never receive or store them. We keep only the Stripe customer identifier, the plan, the subscription status and the invoices.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Do you train models on my audio or my transcripts?

Privacy and security

No. We do not use your audio or your transcripts to train models for other customers, and we do not sell your data to anyone. The content data is used to produce the transcript you asked for and to show it back to you.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Do you track me with cookies or pixels?

Privacy and security

The site sets no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels, and we run no advertising and no cross-site tracking. It uses your browser's local storage for the session token and for the light or dark theme choice.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Can I get a copy of my data or close my account?

Privacy and security

Yes: edit or delete a transcript in the app, or write to support@transcrib.si with the subject "Close account" — the account data is deleted within 30 days. A copy of your data on request is answered within 30 days.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Do you sign data-processing agreements?

Privacy and security

Yes, for Team and API customers. Ask and we will send the current version — the agreement is written for the volume and the setup, not as a standard paper.

Source: apps/web/contact.html

Can you send me my password?

Privacy and security

No, and nobody else can read it either: passwords are stored only as salted hashes. API keys are stored the same way — the full value is shown once, right after you create it, and never again.

Source: apps/web/security.html

How do I authenticate against the API?

API and MCP

Send an API key in the X-API-Key header, or a session token as Authorization: Bearer. Both work on the same endpoints, and a key can be revoked from the app at any moment — revocation takes effect immediately.

Source: apps/web/api.html

How do I send a file to the API?

API and MCP

One multipart POST to /v1/transcripts with the file, a language field (ru, en or auto) and a diarize field (true or false). The answer is {"id": ..., "status": "queued"}; read the transcript back with GET /v1/transcripts/{id} until the status is done.

Source: apps/web/api.html

Is there an SDK?

API and MCP

No SDK — it is a plain REST API with one file-upload endpoint, multipart. requests or httpx is enough, as the example on the API page shows.

Source: apps/web/api.html

What does an API error look like?

API and MCP

Every endpoint answers with the same shape: {"error": {"code": "...", "message": "..."}}, so one handler covers the whole API. The codes are unauthorized, forbidden, not_found, limit_exceeded, invalid_request, provider_error, payment_required, billing_disabled and not_ready.

Source: apps/web/api.html

Where do I get an API key?

API and MCP

In the app, on the Pro or Team plan. The value is shown exactly once at creation and we store only its hash, so it cannot be shown again — copy it at once, and revoke it if it leaks.

Source: apps/web/api.html

Do I need an API key for MCP?

API and MCP

No: the authorisation is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, so the user's own session is what allows the call. An API key also works for a server-to-server call.

Source: apps/web/mcp.html

Does the assistant read my chat history?

API and MCP

No. The plugin does not read the chat history and does not pass chat context to the service: only the audio file, its name and the language you specify are sent over TLS. The server does not call other services either.

Source: packages/claude-plugin/README.md

Can I upload a file in parts through the API?

API and MCP

Yes: POST /v1/uploads/init returns an upload id and the chunk size of 8 MB, then PUT /v1/uploads/{id}/chunk?index=N for each piece and POST /v1/uploads/{id}/complete to assemble it. The limits on the finished file stay 64 MB and 120 minutes.

Source: apps/api/app/routers/uploads.py

How do I check how much I have used?

API and MCP

GET /v1/usage returns the plan, the period, the minutes and the files used; GET /v1/me returns the current user, the plan and the usage. The same numbers are in the Usage section of the app.

Source: apps/web/api.html

How can I check that the transcription engine is alive?

API and MCP

GET /v1/asr/endpoints answers with the configured and the discovered engine address, whether the engine was discovered and healthy, and the capabilities: transcribe, timed, language, diarize and speakers. The app shows the same status under Service status.

Source: apps/api/app/routers/asr_info.py

Is there a webhook when a transcript is ready?

API and MCP

No. The endpoint table of the API has no transcript webhook: you read the transcript with GET /v1/transcripts/{id} until the status is done.

Source: apps/web/api.html

What does the Stripe webhook in the API do?

API and MCP

POST /v1/stripe/webhook receives the events of Stripe and applies them to the account: it is the billing side of the service. It is not a transcript callback — no webhook fires when a transcript is ready.

Source: apps/api/app/routers/billing.py

Is there a live stream or a websocket?

API and MCP

No. The service takes files: you send the file and read the transcript when it is done. There is no live transcription in the product.

Source: apps/web/api.html

Can I delete a transcript through the API?

API and MCP

Yes: DELETE /v1/transcripts/{id} removes the transcript and the file with it. A deleted file leaves the live system immediately and the encrypted backups within 30 days.

Source: apps/web/api.html

Do you have a Telegram bot?

Telegram bot

The bot is announced on this site, but its handle and its link are placeholders until it answers — the site carries it with the status "placeholder". Write to us if you want to be told when it is live.

Source: apps/web/content/data/site.json

What does the Telegram bot do with a file?

Telegram bot

The idea is that you send the file to the bot and the transcript comes back in the chat, with timecodes and the same export formats. That is the announced behaviour of the bot, and it is not live yet.

Source: apps/web/content/data/site.json

Does a bot record my meeting for me?

Telegram bot

No. There is no bot in your meeting invite and nothing is recorded on your behalf: you bring the file. That is also why the free plan is a file limit and not a recording feature.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-meeting-to-text.html

Can the service summarise a recording?

Telegram bot

Yes, through the MCP server: the summarize_transcript tool returns a summary and the key points, and extract_actions returns the tasks that were mentioned. A summary is not a verbatim record — for the exact wording, read the transcript itself.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-bitrix24-call-recording.html

Can I transcribe a Zoom call?

Platforms and files

Yes, from the recording file. Transcrib Si does not join the meeting, does not record the call and does not connect to your calendar: you download the recording — local or cloud — and upload the file.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-zoom-recording.html

Can I transcribe a Google Meet recording?

Platforms and files

Yes, from the file in Drive: no bot in the invite and no calendar connection. Meet's own live transcript helps for a quick note, but it is not a file you can hand over — we return the text with timecodes, the speakers and an export.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-google-meet-recording.html

Can I transcribe a Microsoft Teams recording?

Platforms and files

Yes — the recording file, not the transcript Teams already makes. The recap lives inside Microsoft 365 and we have no access to it; the recording is the part you can keep, export and search.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-microsoft-teams-recording.html

Is there an integration with Bitrix24?

Platforms and files

No. There is no connector to the portal, we do not read the CRM and we do not upload anything into it. Download the recording and upload the file — if the portal gives another format, re-save it as mp3 first.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-bitrix24-call-recording.html

How do I get a transcript of a YouTube video?

Platforms and files

Download the audio and upload the file — the service takes files, not links, and there is no link field in the app. A two-hour video fits at 64 kbps (57.6 MB); at 128 kbps it has to be split or re-encoded.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-youtube-video.html

Is there a mobile app?

Platforms and files

No. The service is a web app, a REST API, an MCP server and the plugins for Claude and ChatGPT. That is the whole list — a phone browser opens the same web app.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-voice-memos.html

Can I send many files at once?

Platforms and files

One file per job in the interface, and the Free plan allows three files a day. A script can loop over the API — the endpoint is the same for a single memo and for a hundred, so a whole season is a loop, not a different product.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-podcast-to-text.html

Can I transcribe a podcast episode?

Platforms and files

Yes, up to 120 minutes and 64 MB per file. Switch on Split by speaker to tell the hosts apart, and note that we do not remove filler words: the transcript is what was said, and you edit it in one click.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-podcast-to-text.html

Can I transcribe an interview and find a quote by the moment it was said?

Platforms and files

Yes. Every segment carries its start and its end time, so you find the line in the text and the moment in the recording. With Split by speaker on, the interviewer and the interviewee are separated and you rename the labels in the editor.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-interview.html

Can I transcribe a lecture?

Platforms and files

Yes, up to 120 minutes and 64 MB per file. SRT and VTT give you subtitles that line up with the audio, and with a single voice you can switch the speaker separation off — the text stays the same.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-lecture.html

Do I need an account?

Account and support

Your transcripts, API keys and billing live behind an account, and the Free plan needs no card. You can also upload before signing in: the file goes to a draft, the transcription starts at once, and it moves into your account after you sign in or register.

Source: apps/web/app.html

Can I upload a file before creating an account?

Account and support

Yes: the file goes to a draft, the transcription starts immediately, and it moves into your account when you sign in or register. Up to 5 anonymous drafts a day, and a draft nobody claims is dropped after 24 hours.

Source: apps/api/app/config.py

How do I attach an anonymous upload to my account?

API and MCP

POST /v1/drafts takes the file without authorization and starts the transcription right away. POST /v1/drafts/{token}/claim binds the finished transcript to the account that signs in, and it then appears in the history.

Source: apps/api/app/routers/drafts.py

How do I create an account?

Account and support

An email address and a password is all it takes — POST /v1/auth/register creates the account and returns a session token, and POST /v1/auth/login signs you in. No card is needed for the Free plan.

Source: apps/web/api.html

Who can use the service?

Account and support

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13 years old. The service is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Source: apps/web/terms.html

Can several people use one account?

Account and support

One account per person or one team. Do not share a login, do not sell access to an account, and do not let more people use it than the plan allows. The Team plan exists for that: shared workspaces, a shared glossary, SSO and user management.

Source: apps/web/terms.html

How do I close my account?

Account and support

Write to support@transcrib.si with the subject "Close account". We delete the account data within 30 days, except the records we are legally required to keep — billing and tax records, for as long as the law says.

Source: apps/web/privacy.html

Where do I see my transcripts?

Account and support

In the app: the list of your most recent files with the queue and the status, the transcript editor with the timed segments, the exports, the API keys and the usage and billing. The transcript text and the timecodes are the same ones the API reads back.

Source: apps/web/app.html

Where do I see my usage?

Account and support

The Usage panel of the app shows the minutes transcribed this month, the files uploaded today and the plan. The same numbers come from GET /v1/usage if you read them from your own code.

Source: apps/web/app.html

How fast do you answer support questions?

Account and support

Free plan questions and bugs within two working days. Pro and Team accounts, and anything that stops transcription for a paying customer, on the same working day. Security reports are acknowledged within one working day.

Source: apps/web/contact.html

What should I put in a bug report?

Account and support

The file type, the language of the audio, what you expected and what you got. If a name or a number came out wrong, say what it should have been — that is the most useful sentence you can send us. Please do not send confidential recordings by email unless we have agreed a way to receive them.

Source: apps/web/contact.html

How accurate is the transcription?

Accuracy and speed

We publish no single accuracy percentage: a score without the test set behind it means nothing. Our engine runs a model profile tuned for Russian speech, and we will send the evaluation report and the sample set on request.

Source: apps/web/accuracy.html

How would you measure the accuracy?

Accuracy and speed

The method is published: a public Russian speech corpus with a fixed test split plus our own real recordings, lower case and punctuation removed, measured with WER and CER. The split, the file list, the engine build, the conditions and the date are published with the result.

Source: apps/web/accuracy.html

How do I judge the quality for my own audio?

Accuracy and speed

Upload a file whose content you know and compare the text with it. That is a harder test than any percentage, and it is the one that matters for your work — the free plan gives you three files a day without a card.

Source: apps/web/accuracy.html

Does speaker separation change the words?

Accuracy and speed

No. The labels are added to the segments and the text stays the same. It is a separate pass and the slow one: 10.8 s for the whole round trip in our measurement of 21 October 2026, against 0.50 s to read the speaker result back.

Source: apps/web/accuracy.html

How long does it take to transcribe a file?

Accuracy and speed

On a short file our own measurement was 0.84 s for the transcription and 0.39 s for the language detection. Longer recordings take longer — the engine works in 22-second fragments with a 3-second overlap — and we do not promise a fixed speed on a busy queue.

Source: apps/web/transcribe-audio-to-text.html

How long does a 2-hour file take?

Accuracy and speed

The engine works through 22-second fragments with a 3-second overlap and then assembles the timecodes, so a two-hour file is a few hundred fragments. The total time depends on the load on the service, so we do not promise a fixed number — the widget shows the status while it runs.

Source: apps/web/how-to-transcribe-long-recording.html

What happens if the audio is bad?

Accuracy and speed

Transcription is an estimate, not a legal or financial record, and mistakes happen — especially with names, numbers and unfamiliar terms. Read the transcript before you rely on it: the recording is the source of truth, and the transcript is editable in the app.

Source: apps/web/terms.html

Whose engine do you use?

Accuracy and speed

We do not publish the vendor of the engine and we do not compare accuracy numbers we have not measured ourselves. What we publish is how our own engine behaves and how the pipeline is built, file by step.

Source: apps/web/accuracy.html

Which engine build are your numbers from?

Accuracy and speed

From our own engine — a model profile tuned for Russian and for the mixed Russian-English speech — as it was on 21 October 2026. We date every number we publish, and the measurements are individual runs, not averages over many runs.

Source: apps/web/accuracy.html

What happens to my file while it is transcribed?

Accuracy and speed

The file is decoded into plain audio, and the language is decided — set by you or detected. The recognition pass returns the text and the segments, the speakers are separated if you asked for it, and the result is written with the times of every segment.
