Transcrib Si vs Transcribe.com
Transcribe.com sells an application with live transcription, 120+ languages and a Pro plan at $99.99 a month paid yearly. Transcrib Si sells the transcription itself: $10 a month paid yearly for a stated 1,500 minutes, a REST API, an MCP server and plugins for Claude and ChatGPT.
What we compared, and how
Everything in the other column was read from public pages during our public-information audit of 21 October 2026. Where a page could not be read, the cell says “not measured” — we do not fill those cells from advertising or from memory.
| Transcrib Si | Transcribe.com | Where we are worse | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | a transcription service, a REST API, an MCP server and plugins for Claude and ChatGPT | a transcription app and online editor: files, live transcription, storage, desktop and mobile apps | — |
| Free plan | $0: 3 files a day, up to 30 minutes per file, no card and no trial clock | $0 with a 30-minute trial and unlimited live transcription | Their live transcription is unlimited and free; our free plan counts files and minutes. |
| Paid plan | Pro $10 per month paid yearly ($120 a year), or $20 per month paid monthly | Pro $99.99 per month paid yearly or $180 per month; Business $399.99 or $720 per month; extra time $5 an hour | Their Pro costs ten times more than ours. Their Business plan adds team features we do not have. |
| What the paid plan gives | 1,500 minutes of audio per calendar month, all 6 export formats, API keys, MCP access, cancel any time | Pro: 5 hours of server transcription a month, unlimited files, unlimited storage; Business: 30 hours and team features | We have no team features, no storage quotas and no shared workspaces; ours is a single person or a team on a written agreement. |
| Transcription languages | 2 — Russian and English | 120+ languages and dialects, claimed on the home page | Two against 120+. Their claim is a headline number without a published method; ours is two languages we can name. |
| Live transcription | none: we transcribe files | live transcription, and a live stream of up to 3 hours per session through the MCP product | We have no live mode at all. |
| Storage and history | the history of your transcripts in the account, up to the retention in the privacy policy | unlimited storage on Pro, up to 500 files; 1,000 files on Business | Their storage limits are stated; ours are governed by the retention rules rather than a plan. |
| Agent access | REST v1, an MCP server with 4 tools, plugins for Claude and ChatGPT, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE | the InContext MCP product, with extensions for Claude and ChatGPT and an endpoint at mcp.transcribe.com | They got to the agent channel first. Our answer is a smaller scope with the tool names, the limits and the flow published. |
| Machine-readable facts | llms.txt, llms-full.txt, pricing.md and api.md, with the prices as numbers | no llms.txt and no llms-full.txt; no JSON-LD on the pricing page or on the comparison articles, and the author is given as an organisation | — |
| Site and reviews | 22 guide pages and 14 use-case pages, written and published by the founder | about 690 URLs: 36 comparison pages, 102 tool pages, 48 use-case pages, 440 blog pages; 96 reviews on Trustpilot with a score of 1.4 (measured 21 October 2026) | Their site is far larger, it has a Russian version with 40 URLs, and it has a review platform presence. |
Where they are better
- The price is ten times lower on our side, not theirs. Their Pro is $99.99 a month paid yearly against our $10, and their Business plan is $399.99.
- Live transcription and the editor. A live mode, unlimited live transcription on the free plan, and an online editor are a workflow we do not have.
- 120+ languages and dialects. Seven localised versions of the site and a Russian version with 40 URLs.
- Applications. Desktop and mobile apps and the storage behind them: unlimited on Pro, up to 500 files, 1,000 on Business.
- The InContext MCP product. They were in the agent channel before us, with extensions for Claude and ChatGPT and live streams of up to 3 hours per session.
- The content machine. About 690 URLs, including 36 comparison pages and 440 blog pages, plus a name and a review platform presence.
Where Transcrib Si is better
- The price. $10 a month paid yearly ($120 a year) or $20 a month, with a stated allowance of 1,500 minutes of audio and no trial clock on the free plan.
- Russian first. Our engine is tuned for Russian speech and for the Russian-English mix, and both languages stay as they were spoken.
- No bot in your calls. You upload a file that already exists; we do not join meetings and we do not record anything on your behalf.
- Machine-readable facts. Prices, limits, formats, the API and the four MCP tools are published as numbers in llms.txt, llms-full.txt, pricing.md and api.md, and the pages carry HowTo, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList in JSON-LD.
- A person writes it. Every guide names its author and its date, and the founder publishes the site.
Who should pick which
- Pick Transcribe.com if you need live transcription, the desktop or mobile app, storage quotas for a big library, or languages other than Russian and English.
- Pick Transcrib Si if the price per month matters, if your work is in Russian, or if you want the transcript in your own pipeline.
- Pick either if you want an agent to do the transcription: both have an MCP story, and ours costs ten times less to start with.

Questions this page answers.
How much does Transcribe.com cost?
Its own pricing page, read on 21 October 2026: a 30-minute free trial, Pro at $99.99 a month paid yearly or $180 a month, Business at $399.99 or $720 a month, and extra time at $5 an hour. Our Pro is $10 a month paid yearly ($120 a year) or $20 a month, with 1,500 minutes of audio per calendar month.
Which service supports more languages?
Transcribe.com claims 120+ languages and dialects on its home page. We support two, Russian and English, and we do not publish a percentage for them either: ask either service for the evaluation report and the sample set.
Does Transcribe.com record meetings?
It has a live transcription mode and an online editor, and it sells an InContext MCP product that streams live audio. We do neither: we take files and give you the text.
Can I use Transcrib Si inside Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes — a plugin for each, both going through the same MCP server: transcribe_audio, summarize_transcript, extract_actions and list_transcripts.
Who publishes the facts for an assistant to read?
Both of us have a story for agents; only one of us publishes the numbers. We have llms.txt, llms-full.txt, pricing.md and api.md with the prices as numbers; Transcribe.com had no llms.txt and no JSON-LD on its pricing page or its comparison articles when we read them on 21 October 2026.
What happens when I reach the limit?
The API answers with a clear error and the account stays open. The Pro allowance of 1,500 minutes resets on the first day of each month, and no plan includes unlimited transcription.
